It was hot summer day. A stag felt thirsty. He went to a pool to drink water. By chance he saw his reflection in the water. He looked at his horns. He felt proud of them.
Then he looked at his legs. He said to himself. “My legs do not match with my horns. They look very ugly. I wish my legs were as beautiful as my horns!”
Just then he heard the bark of hounds. He ran fast to save his life. He was soon out of sight. There was a big bush on the way. His horns got stuck in the bush. He tried to best to free himself, but in vain. He said, “O God! My beautiful horns have put me in trouble.”
Soon the hounds reached there. They fell upon him and killed him.
Moral: All that glitters is not gold.
