Once I was travelling from Srinagar in Garhwal to Haridwar. When we had hardly travelled about 20 kilometres, our bus fell into a khud about 200 metres below. For some time everything was lost to us.When I regained my senses, I saw a ghastly scene around me. I saw human limbs scattered for metres. Some faces had been mutilated beyond recognition. I saw a mother with her child still clinging to her breast, lying dead.
I also saw a newly married couple lying dead. Still holding the hands of each other. I shuddered and shuddered. Fortunately, I went unhurt. I thanked my stars.
